Psychology for Recovery

Knowledge For Change is a joint venture between Spitalfield Crypt Trust’s New Hanbury Project and Foundation for Change. It’s an engaging and carefully structured social psychology and philosophy course specifically for residents of Hackney who are earlier on in their recovery.

Running for a full day each week for ten weeks, the course provides participants with an accessible introduction to psychological theories and aspects of philosophy to help individuals understand patterns of human behaviour, and builds strengths, aspirations and healthy relationships.

It includes a Level 1 Award in Progression through the Open College Network and includes an optional placement on completion in one of SCT’s social enterprises.

Our next intake begins on 6th July 2018.

The social enterprise Social Spider carried out an independent review of Knowledge for Change in 2018. It can be downloaded here.
